Weekend Recap

Such a perfect weekend!  Here's the recap...

On Friday night Emily and I got adventurous and headed downtown for a photography workshop and late dinner/drinks on the patio. The workshop?  A total and complete bust!  We didn't learn a darn thing and even left early.  But the patio was fantastic!  We went to Saint Ann's, which has fabulous Dallas-esque people watching.  I still can't get that crazy cheetah print jump suit out of my head.  Moving on....

Saturday morning and afternoon were spent lounging around and playing with Beckett.

He's just so funny and has so much personality.  Lately all he wants to do is play chase around the house. I really need to get it on video because it is hilarious!  Ok.... back to the weekend.

That night we were given tickets to a really fun casino night fundraiser.  It was downtown and also had a very Dallas-esque feel.... it's good to be out of our suburban bubble!  Anyhow, it was "cocktail attire," so we got all dressed up.

Doesn't Guy look handsome?  I thought so :).

Open bar, awesome view, fun games.....

and even some burlesque dancing!  Can you see them in this phone pic?  Pretty funny.

Sadly we lost all of our funny money over blackjack and roulette, but it was a really fun date night!

Sunday morning we ALL slept in.   So nice when that happens!  Guy is just like his dad and loves a huge breakfast, so he got to work on making a huge spread for us.  He even made a Mickey Mouse pancake for B... isn't that so cute?  Beckett LOVED his breakfast and gobbled it all down.   He was stuffing his face, funny boy.

Beckett took a long nap but we finally woke him up after 3+ hours.... we had some eatin' to do!  One of our very favorite city events is the Taste of Addison.  Live music and tons of food = perfect!  In fact I love going so much that I insisted on going last year, the day before I went to the hospital to have Mr. B!  Now that is some festival dedication.  Anyhow, B is a true Mayo and loves the Taste of Addison just as much as we do.

His first Chamberlain's experience... That would be a porkchop he is devouring.

And he got to try ice cream for the first time!

The Dallas String Quartet was playing, which I LOVE.  They played all current music, so it's fun to listen to the songs and try to remember the song.

We got home and let B try out his water table.  Success!
But what he loved even more than the water table was the hose.  So, so funny!

How is it that he will turn ONE in only THREE days?  I miss the cuddly baby days, but is is really fun to be able to do more activities with him.   He just cracks us up.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend too!
