Dear Beckett: 11 Weeks

Dear Beckett,

We started off the week by going to see Dr. Harpavat for your two month immunizations.  You now weigh 12.2 pounds (55%), measure 23 1/4 inches (50%), and your head is 39 inches around (25%).  Your dad and I brag all the time about how much you have grown!  We just can't believe that you have gone from the 5th percentile to the 55th!  Many of your 3-6 month clothes are no longer loose.

When you were first born you had a small sore on your wrist from sucking on it.  When we began letting you have the pacifier, you slowly forgot about your hands and fingers.  This week, though, you have found your fingers again!  You still aren't coordinated enough to keep them in your mouth for long, but you are very persistent in trying to keep them there.

You are also giggling more and more.  I love to tickle your legs and neck!

On Thursday our air conditioner went out!  We got to have a slumber party at the Stoner's house.  This may be the only time you get to sleep under the same roof as your girlfriend Hadley..... hahaha!  One day you will kill me for all of this.  But in the meantime.....

Yes, I know you are in a PINK cradle.

Auntie Em babysat you while I was with the repairmen at the house.  I think she had fun taking pictures...

One thing we have worked hard on since you were born is having a sleeping, eating, and playing routine.  I try to feed you at the same times each day, although it changes almost constantly.  For about a month now I have been feeding you at 7:30, we play for about 15 minutes, put on pj's, read stories, and then go to bed.  I then wake you up at 10:30.  Up until this week you would wake up to eat at 1:30, 3:30, and then again at 5:30.  BUT.... this week you have been sleeping until 4:00!!!  This is VERY exciting for your momma.

We still swaddle you even though you have never seemed to enjoy it.  But it keeps you warm and helps you go to sleep.  Here's what happens:

And finally... not a happy camper!

We love you.

Love,
Mom
